I work and learn at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), where I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Creative Computing Lab, with Dr. Karen Brennan. My interests lie at the intersection of computing education, constructionism, and learning communities. Situated in the learning sciences, I look to understand and support K-12 teachers and students when they face challenges in learning computing together.
I received my Ph.D. in Education, with a focus on Human Development, Learning, and Teaching, from HGSE. At HGSE, in addition to my work in the Creative Computing Lab, I also worked with Dr. Danielle Allen and the Democratic Knowledge Project. I was a Co-Chair and Editor for the Harvard Educational Review. I'm an educator, researcher, designer, and learner.
Before my doctoral studies, I was a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, and I also hold an Ed.M. in Technology, Innovation, and Education from HGSE and a B.A. in Linguistics from Yale University. Sometimes, I read things and write about them. Outside of work, I like to make things and teach yoga. To get in touch, you can find me at haduong (at) gse (dot) harvard (dot) edu.
